THE BEL AIRE
The Bel Aire is handcrafted from Korina, a blonde mahagony from Africa used on many of the most sought after American Vintage guitars.
The ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard features inlaid fret markers.
The position markers are mother of pearl dots.
The peghead overlay is grained ivoroid.
The tuners are nickel plated Grover Rotomatics.
The scale is 25 inches.
The two custom wound Jason Lollar pick ups feature handcrafted nickel plated brass covers.
There are two wiring options available.
A master volume & master tone with The two pick ups wired to a three way switch, or
A
master volume & master tone with the two pick ups wired to a blend knob. With this configuration the bridge pick up is always on and the blend knob gradually increases the neck pick up into the signal allowing very subtle variations in tone.
The pickguard is milled from aluminum, plated and polished to a mirror shine.
The strings pass through the body.
The bridge features 6 individual saddles for better note separation and offers a removable handrest for those who prefer a more dobro style of playing.
The Bel Aire can be ordered with 3 superior quality telescopic legs that screw into mounts that are flush in the body.
A popular option is a support arm that screws into two threaded inserts in the back, keeping the guitar stable and at the correct distance from the body for the player. The hip rest is covered in thick black suede for comfort and durability.
The Bel Aire is offered in Seafoam Green, Fiesta Red, Black, Transparent White and Natural.
Custom colors are available, please inquire.
A padded gig bag is included.
